I find myself wondering whether I put way too much thought into the routes I take to get around Los Angeles. I wondered at times if there were anyone else out there that really tried to think of how to get from point A to point B in LA without taking a left turn until I found this post from a fellow LA blogger.
How the hell did it take me five years of living in Los Angeles to learn that you NEVER turn left? NEVER. Okay, residential streets, maybe, but ONLY when there’s a 4-way stop. If your choice is between one left and three rights, you TAKE THE THREE RIGHTS.
LA has made me take so many different things into consideration when driving that I think I get more of a brain workout from finding a new route around the city than I would from most other things. Now I just need to find a way to not get annoyed when riding along with friends in LA when they don’t take into consideration the many complexities of traveling a couple blocks in this city, makes me think of this comic.
